We worked on a number of event production projects to support Commonwealth Glasgow 2014, including the creation of the largest flotilla ever seen on the River Clyde.

The flotilla welcomed the 20th Commonwealth Games and helped create a special atmosphere across the city and wider region. Thousands of onlookers lined the riverbank to watch 250 boats sail from Greenock to Glasgow’s Pacific Quay.

Utilising our expertise in the production of maritime events, we worked with RYA Scotland and Inverclyde Council to design the flotilla to celebrate one of the world’s greatest rivers and its place in Glasgow’s past and future. We managed complex stakeholders including liaising with the harbour authority to create the route and facilities required for the event.

We also planned the delivery of the spectator zones and media facilities for the flotilla event in Greenock, as well as providing additional overlay site management for the Glasgow Green Festival fan zone and to the Queen’s Baton Relay.

We provided site management and overlay facilities for the areas, which were in place throughout the event, including event infrastructure and a team of site production experts to manage the experience of both athletes and spectators.

Working with the production teams we also managed the safety for the athletes parade through Glasgow after the event, helping the city to celebrate the efforts of Scotland’s athletes.
