Torbay Airshow 2017 has been hailed a huge success after a record breaking 150,000 crowd turned out across the bay for an action packed two day programme of world class flying.

The event brings a much needed boost to the local economy and is notable for the huge spirit of partnership and enthusiasm generated by everyone involved. REM always like to work in this way as we believe combined effort always produces the best results.

The 3 hour daily programme included the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team, Team Raven, the Percival Piston Provost, Strikemaster, RAF Red Arrows, the PBY51 Catalina, Gerald Cooper in his Xtreme XA41, the Autogyro, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, The Blades and the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon FGR4. Not forgetting the mighty RAF Red Arrows who performed their first display of the season.

Paignton Green hosted an event village with entertainment, trade stands, fair rides, bars and catering. Although Team REM were grounded all weekend, it was a great example of how our event management packages combine income generation, event production and management and project management to produce a superb event.

“Please convey my grateful thanks to all the team for all the excellent work they’ve undertaken in making this event a huge success. I know that everyone has put in an enormous amount of work and I’m well aware of the responsibilities that this entails. That said the response from the private sector and residents has been very positive in indeed …. The professionals you have engaged are highly respected and undertake work for Bournemouth, Bristol and other local authorities”
