Bristol's Biggest Bike Ride

If you’re a fan of fluorescent Lycra and a great family day out, this is an event guaranteed to put a grin on people’s faces. With five routes to suit every ability, it’s an amazing feeling riding on closed or quiet roads with thousands of other cyclists. Not that we actually know that as we spend our time ensuring that a complex event runs smoothly and safely as we look after 7000 entrants.

As in 2012, the Biggest Bike Ride teamed up with Bristol Festival of Nature – giving wildlife enthusiasts of all ages the opportunity to explore and enjoy the natural world in the heart of the city after their exertions. The Festival brought together over 150 organisations for a programme of interactive activities, live entertainment, hands-on experiences, a market packed with local produce, and much more.

Out on the course(s), it’s noticeable what a lovely, friendly atmosphere is generated by all the participants – from the hard-core enthusiasts to the family groups, some of whom seem to have dragged long forgotten bikes out of sheds and garages.
